Located in the heart of Prizren, Aztecs Coffee & Bakery Shop reinterprets the traditional art of bread-making through a contemporary architectural lens.
The 52 sqm layout unfolds across four zones: the main counter, seating area, self-serve island, and glass-partitioned kitchen, creating a fluid and inviting experience.
Inspired by the oven as a symbol of warmth and gathering, the design layers tactile materials and contrasting tones: textured walls and warm oak wood meet cool metal accents and playful brick-shaped tiles cladding the main counter. A central terracotta island defines the space with a pop of color, complemented by Le Corbusier-inspired artwork on the accent wall and a shelving system behind the counter that stages freshly baked goods.
Balancing simplicity, playfulness, and function, the bakery becomes more than a place for coffee and bread, it's a shared, everyday ritual of comfort, community, and contemporary design.
